Don’t get me wrong, I love makeup but my days of black smokey eyes are far from over. These days I enjoy those extra ten minutes that I get to spend in my warm, cozy bed (yes I spend most of my time in bed when I’m at home, so it’s not just before work). For the past couple of months I kept on coming back to the same makeup look for my day to day life.

I start by moisturizing my skin and lips, so both makeup and later lipstick will go on smoothly. To make sure the makeup actually stays on I use a primer. To get rid of any skin imperfections I use the corrector and go over it with my concealer and then the foundation, which I absolutely love. Now it’s time to use the setting powder, to make sure nothing wanders out of place. One of my favorite parts is the bronzer, because it just brings such a nice glow back, after you evened out your skin and mine smells like chocolate, YUMM!
For the eyes I use a separate primer because my eyelids tend to get oily. With the amazing eyeshadow palette from a Christmas limited edition range of Estée Lauder I just use the medium brown shade and swipe it through my crease to give it some definition. Another absolute fave is my mascara. I used to worship the “they’re real!” by Benefit but I found one that I love even more. YSL packed everything I need into one, it gives my lashes length, separation and thickness. I love it! Afterwards I give the other hair on my face some love, the eyebrows. I just run through with a gel, since they’re naturally quite full.
This lip-combo has been a constant for a few months now and it’s just a simple nude pink-ish one. And if we ought to be real about one thing, a good nude lip is a classic, isn’t it?
