May has passed and it’s time for another favorites post (read the April one here). Is it corny to say that the time has flown by again? It feels like it was January 1st just yesterday (I WISH I was back in Australia)! Anyway, I have accumulated some new favorites this month, which I’d like to share.
I love my new skin routine. As you know, I went to Lush a couple of days ago and picked up some goodies (haven’t seen the post yet? Check it out here). I start off by using the “Angels on Bare Skin” cleanser and every few days use the “Love Lettuce” fresh face mask afterwards, which also peels my skin a bit. I finish off by using my Clarins “Lotion Tonique” toner and “Crème Riche Désaltérante Multi-Hydratante” moisturizer. I can’t stop touching my face afterwards, because it feels so soft. Plus my annoying pimple on my chin has faded away, double the plus points!
A couple of times I made an amazing sandwich consisting of basil hummus, sautéed onions and mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, some peeled carrot and cucumber slices and vegan Alnatura mini burgers. Yes, the combination is amazing and is so filling, yet never makes me feel sluggish. Who said you need meat for amazing sandwiches? Big thumbs up for this one.
It’s a boy! No, I’m not pregnant, so chill your beans. But I’ve been wearing the “It’s a Boy!” nail polish by Maybelline last month and I loved it so much, I left it on until it chipped off a bit too much (don’t judge). However I love how it looks against my slightly tan skin and it’s going to look even better, because summer is coming up and you bet your granny panties I will be working on that tan!
My CoverFX primer has slowly but surely reached its end and in rolls the After Balm by Nivea Men. Yes you read that right, Men. This might be a weird favorite for some, but people in the beauty community will think I’m super late on that trend. That cream seriously works like a glue and keeps my foundation on the skin all day and all night even (including the dancing sweats! I highly recommend it.
I mentioned in my last post, that I hadn’t been feeling well. There’s a cough that’s been bugging me, so Ricola was a constant companion. Those sugar-free drops are definitely very addicting and have been a big helper in avoiding my crazy cough attacks.
Times spent with friends. Okay admittedly, this is a favorite every month, even when I don’t mention it, but this month was special because there were 2 birthday parties for 3 of my best friends this month. It always seems like we are all so busy at all times, so birthdays bring us together. It’s nice to just all be together in one place, catch up and go nuts in our own ways. I love that crazy bunch!
